Firefighters from CSFC spent the weekend of October 29th responding to numerous calls for trees/wires down, road closures, CO2 alarms and possible structure fires throughout Philipstown. They also manned the headquarters at 154 Main Street as an emergency shelter for residents who had lost power or who were stranded due to the snow fall. Approximately two dozen residents sought shelter at Cold Spring Fire Company, including ten who spent the night of October 29th sleeping in the headquarters.
*Update: As of this morning, Monday October 31st, firefighters continue to man the headquarters and provide an emergency shelter with heat, hot water and food for residents who still are without electricity. Please call (845)265-9241 for information.
