CSFC Mega Drill 2011

Approximately twenty five firefighters assembled at the Cold Spring Firehouse on Saturday morning at 8am to start a day of training and drilling.  Deemed the “Mega Drill”, it has become an annual tradition in addition to the usual Tuesday night drill nights.  Beginning with breakfast, firefighters gathered around the meeting room and watched an abridged version of Bravo’s “Work of Art” which was recently filmed in Cold Spring and featured the CSFC and a few of it’s members (Go Jackie!).

After breakfast it was down to business, with members dividing up into different tasks including driver re-certification, initial attack, interior firefighter re-certification, and equipment maintenance.  As part of the interior firefighter training, an obstacle course was constructed inside of the truck room in order to simulate a search scenario.

Afterwards, the members gathered for lunch and a debriefing/critique in the Company meeting room.
