Cold Spring Fire Company Responds to Car Fire

Fire destroyed this 1974 MGB Convertible

On Sunday, January 31st at approximately 1pm, the Cold Spring Fire Company was called to respond to a reported vehicle fire on Orchard Street in the Village.  Upon arrival at the station firefighters were advised to “expedite” because of the vehicle’s location to a garage and adjoining structures.  Members of CSFC responded with 2-1 and 2-2, quickly extinguishing the burning car and miscellaneous items on the floor of the homeowners garage.  The car, a classic 1974 MGB convertible was a complete loss according to the homeowner – who had left it to warm up in the cold weather.
